Ionomycin suppresses cancer cell growth by disrupting mitochondrial transcription
In this study, we identify a new function for the selective Ca2+ ionophore, ionomycin, as an inhibitor of mitochondrial transcription. Both total and nascent RNA analyses revealed that ionomycin treatment reduces the transcription of mitochondrial genes.

Accurate and noninvasive prostate cancer detection using plasma‐derived extracellular vesicle RNA
Plasma extracellular vesicles were captured with WGA‐conjugated magnetic beads and profiled for RNA biomarkers. A three‐RNA panel (NM_024955, NR_047469, and NR_002564) distinguished prostate cancer from healthy controls and benign prostatic hyperplasia, supporting a simple, noninvasive approach to improve prostate cancer detection.

Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. AlphaFold modelling and substrate docking provide information on residues likely involved in substrate recognition for NanX and another MFS member, NanT.

Effect of Tween 60 and Tween 80 on the growth of Malassezia species
Yeasts in the genus Malassezia are a member of the normal skin flora and also cause various skin diseases in both human and animals. Except M. pachydermatis, all of the other Malassezia species are known to be lipid-dependent fungi which require external lipid sources for growth.

Antioxidant activity of Tween-20 and Tween-80 evaluated through different in-vitro tests
Abstract Objectives This study aimed to evaluate the possible antioxidant activity of Tween-20 and Tween-80, two amphipathic nonionic surfactants commonly used as solubilizers and stabilizers, whose pharmacological effects have been ignored to a large degree.

We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...

The Effect of Adding Surfactants on Appearance Specification and Nutrients Content of Processed Corn Grain using Steam-Flaked Technique [PDF]
Introduction[1]: Corn grain is one of the main sources of energy in the dairy cow diets; about 70% of corn's weight is due to starch. The starch granule is the basic unit of starch in corn endosperm and is a part of the starch–protein matrix.
