Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Multi-objective optimization and decision visualization of batch stirred tank reactor based on spherical catalyst particles

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2019
This paper presents a Bayesian approach rooted algorithm oriented to the properties of multi-objective optimization problems. The performance of the developed algorithm is compared with several other multi-objective optimization algorithms.

A Two‐Stage Energy‐Efficiency Optimization Approach for Conflict‐Free Dispatching in Open‐Pit Mines

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems
The objective of this paper is to present a novel energy‐efficiency conflict‐free dispatching algorithm for autonomous mining fleets. In lieu of halting or decelerating the trucks at intersections when conflicts arise, the algorithm facilitates conflict ...

A Deep Generative Learning Approach for Two-stage Adaptive Robust Optimization

open access: yesCoRR
Two-stage adaptive robust optimization (ARO) is a powerful approach for planning under uncertainty, balancing first-stage decisions with recourse decisions made after uncertainty is realized. To account for uncertainty, modelers typically define a simple uncertainty set over which potential outcomes are considered.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Electric Heterogeneous Fleet Vehicle Routing Optimization for Campus Commuter Services: A Two-Stage Heuristic Approach

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
The Multi-Destination Vehicle Routing Problem (MD-VRP) with a heterogeneous electric fleet is a critical challenge in optimizing commuter services for large-scale institutions and logistics operations.

Hybrid behavioural-based multi-objective space trajectory optimization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this chapter we present a hybridization of a stochastic based search approach for multi-objective optimization with a deterministic domain decomposition of the solution space.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
