Significance of nuclear phospholipase C signaling through type 1 IGF receptor.

Journal of endocrinological investigation, 2004
The existence of a nuclear polyphosphoinositol metabolism independent from that at the plasma membrane is now widely recognized. Specific changes in the nuclear phosphatidylinositol (Ptdlns) metabolism have been implicated in cell growth, differentiation, and neoplastic transformation.

Identification of phosphatidylinositol‐specific phospholipase C activity in Listeria monocytogenes: a novel type of virulence factor?

Molecular Microbiology, 1991
SummaryA phospholipase C which cleaves phosphatidylinositol and glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchors was identified in Listeria monocytogenes. This 36kDa protein is encoded by the gene plcA, and is homologous to the Bacillus cereus, Bacillus thuringiensis and eukaryotic phosphatidylinositol‐specific phospholipases C (PI‐PLC).

Expression of Angiotensin II Type-I Receptor and Phospholipase C-Linked Gαq/11 Protein in the Human Placenta

Journal of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, 1996
A recent study on the distribution of angiotensin II (ANG II), ANG II (AT) receptors, and human placental lactogen in human placental tissues from term pregnancies showed positive correlations among these indices, suggesting an important role for ANG II in placental endocrinology.

Regulation of Multiple Effectors by the Cloned δ‐Opioid Receptor: Stimulation of Phospholipase C and Type II Adenylyl Cyclase

Journal of Neurochemistry, 1995
Abstract: The δ‐opioid receptor is known to regulate multiple effectors in various tissues. When expressed in human embryonic kidney 293 cells, the cloned δ‐opioid receptor inhibited cyclic AMP (cAMP) accumulation in response to the δ‐selective agonist [d‐Pen2,d‐Pen5]enkephalin.

Phospholipase C δ-type consists of three isozymes: bovine PLCδ2 is a homologue of human/mouse PLCδ4

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2004
Abstract To date, 12 phospholipase C (PLC) isozymes have been identified in mammals, and they are divided into five classes, β-, γ-, δ-, e-, and ζ-type. PLCδ-type is reported to be composed of four isozymes, PLCδ1–δ4. Here we report that a screening for mouse PLCδ2 from a BAC library with primers that amplify a specific region of bovine PLCδ2 ...

Interruption of TPA-induced signals by an antiviral and antitumoral xanthate compound: Inhibition of a phospholipase C-type reaction

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1989
The effect of tricyclodecan-9-yl-xanthogenate on the phorbolester TPA induced changes in phosphatidylcholine metabolism was investigated. In the simultaneous presence of the xanthate TPA failed to stimulate the metabolic [32P] turnover of the major phospholipids.

Humoral and Delayed-type Hypersensitive Responses against Listeria monocytogenes Phosphatidylinositol-specific Phospholipase C in Experimentally Infected Buffaloes

Veterinary Research Communications, 2004
The kinetics of antibody production against phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C (PI-PLC) and the isolation pattern of Listeria monocytogenes from bacteriological samples were studied following oral infection of buffalo calves with 3 x 10(9) cells each of pathogenic L. monocytogenes. Antibodies to PI-PLC appeared by 4-8 days post infection (PI)
