Screening of Plant UDP-Glycosyltransferases for Betanin Production in Yeast
Abstract To cover the rising demand for natural food dyes, new sources and production methods are needed. Microbial fermentation of nature-identical colours, such as the red pigment betanin, has the potential to be a cost-efficient alternative to plant extraction.

Albendazole (ABZ) is an anthelmintic frequently used to treat haemonchosis, a common parasitosis of ruminants caused by the gastrointestinal nematode Haemonchus contortus. This parasite is able to protect itself against ABZ via the formation of inactive ABZ-glycosides.

A chromosome‐level genome of Elcysma westwoodi was assembled. The genome encodes 272 detoxification‐related genes. A single‐copy bCAS was retained for cyanide detoxification. CYP405A and CYP332A were recruited into cyanogenic defence evolution. UGT33A retained a conserved GT‐B fold and catalytic domains.

The multidimensional regulation roles and mechanisms of calcium in fruit quality
This review explores how calcium signaling molecule integrates plant hormones, environmental cues, and developmental signals to influence external fruit traits, internal nutritional properties, and physiological disorders. ABSTRACT Calcium (Ca2+), a dual‐functional mineral that serves both as an essential structural factor and a signaling molecule ...

ABSTRACT Carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus) contains abundant flavonoid glycosides (FGs), which are important natural functional and colour components. However, there are few reports on the modification of UDP‐glycosyltransferases (UGTs) in relation to flavonoids in carnation.
