Study of Sangiovese Wines Pigment Profile by UHPLC-MS/MS

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2012
The metabolic pigment composition of Sangiovese wines produced from grapes harvested at 20 different vineyards in Montalcino over three consecutive years (2008-2010) on a semi-industrial scale and of 55 commercial Brunello di Montalcino wines (2004-2007) was studied, using a targeted method capable of analyzing 90 pigments in an 11 min UHPLC-MS/MS ...

UHPLC-MS for the analytical characterization of traditional Chinese medicines

TrAC - Trends in Analytical Chemistry, 2014
Abstract Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been playing a very important role in health protection and disease control for thousands of years. The therapeutic efficacy of TCMs is based on the combined action of a mixture of phytochemical constituents. Because of the chemical diversity and the dynamic concentration range, analysis of TCMs remains

Characterisation of stilbenes in California almonds (Prunus dulcis) by UHPLC–MS

Food Chemistry, 2014
Stilbene polyphenols are present in some fruits and nuts, but their abundance in many foods, such as almonds, is unknown. Therefore, we characterised stilbenes from Nonpareil, Butte and Carmel almond (Prunus dulcis) varieties from California. UHPLC-MS conditions were optimised to resolve cis- and trans-resveratrol, d4-resveratrol, dienestrol, hexestrol,

An Innovative Approach to the Preparation of Plasma Samples for UHPLC–MS Analysis

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2019
A new sample processing method for analyzing flavonol metabolites in plasma using enzymatic proteolysis was developed and validated. Four endopeptidases were examined regarding their influence on the analyte recovery of quercetin-3- O-glucuronide (Q3GlcA).

Investigation of the metabolism of monepantel in ovine hepatocytes by UHPLC/MS/MS

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2012
Monepantel (MOP) belongs to a new class of anthelmintic drugs known as aminoacetonitrile derivatives. It was approved for use in veterinary practice in Czech Republic in 2011. So far, biotransformation and transport of MOP in target animals have been studied insufficiently, although the study of metabolic pathways of anthelmintics is very important for

Anatomical Characterization and UHPLC-MS Analysis of Hypericum vesiculosum

Revista Brasileira de Farmacognosia, 2020
In this study, we characterized Hypericum vesiculosum Griseb. (sect. Drosocarpium), Hypericaceae, a Balkan endemic and Greek subendemic species, which was collected from the Peloponnese (Greece). The anatomical study showed that its leaves are dorsiventral and hypostomatic, and the major part of its circular stem is filled with xylem.

Non-target UHPLC/MS Analysis of Emerging Contaminants in Water

2015
Contamination of water resources is one of the major problems to be faced for environment preservation and sustainability. Although anti-pollution strategies taken in the last half-century have consistently reduced in surface water the amount and the presence of many recognised contaminants, other potentially hazardous chemicals are being released into

Ruhemann’s Purple Monitoring by UHPLC/MS/MS for Ninhydrin Test

Food Hygiene and Safety Science (Shokuhin Eiseigaku Zasshi)
For amino acids used as food additives, Japan's Specifications and Standards for Food Additives stipulate the ninhydrin test as an identification test. The ninhydrin test is a simple method that involves the visual determination of purple color from the formation of Ruhemann's purple (RP) and does not require special equipment, facilitating its ...
