 O umbuzeiro é uma fruteira da Caatinga que se encontra distribuída de maneira dispersa em todo o semiárido brasileiro. O umbu gigante, caracterizado por frutos cujo peso médio é superior a 70 gramas, vem ganhando espaço e chamando atenção de vários agricultores por suas potencialidades de comercialização.
