In this work a stable neuro PD controller for set point control of planar robot manipulators in task space is proposed. The gravity t erms and the robot Jacobian matrix are assumed unknown. Gravitational terms are approximated using Radial Basis Functions Neural Network with task or joint information feeding the activation functions and with on-line ...

The problem of robust output feedback stabilization for a class of nonlinear systems with partially known uncertainties is considered. A class of continuous adaptive robust output feedback controllers that can guarantee uniform ultimate boundedness of the resulting closed-loop systems in the presence of uncertainties is proposed.

In this paper, the authors consider the following nonlinear differential equation of third order with variable delay \[ (\Omega(x,x')x'')' + (f(x,x')x')'+g(x(t-r(t)),\, x'(t-r(t)) + h(x(t-r(t)) = p(t,x,x',x''), \tag{1} \] where \(r(t)\) is the variable delay delay, \(x \in \mathbb R=(-\infty ,\infty)\), \(t \in \mathbb R_+ = [0,\infty)\), the functions

Uniform Ultimate Boundedness of Probe-to-Probe Dynamics in Dual Probe Atomic Force Microscopy
Volume 1: Active Control of Aerospace Structure; Motion Control; Aerospace Control; Assistive Robotic Systems; Bio-Inspired Systems; Biomedical/Bioengineering Applications; Building Energy Systems; Condition Based Monitoring; Control Design for Drilling Automation; Control of Ground Vehicles, Manipulators, Mechatronic Systems; Controls for Manufacturing; Distributed Control; Dynamic Modeling for Vehicle Systems; Dynamics and Control of Mobile and Locomotion Robots; Electrochemical Energy Systems, 2014Atomic force microscopes use a probe to interface with matter at the nanoscale through a variety of imaging or manipulation methods. A dual-probe atomic force microscope (DP-AFM) has been proposed for simultaneous imaging and manipulation. One challenge of DP-AFM is probe-to-probe contact, which may occur intentionally such as when locating one probe ...

A decentralized control is constructed to stabilized composite large-scale systems with delay interconnections. The control action is based on output feedback. Interconnections satisfy the so-called matching conditions. A sufficent condition is presented, which ensures uniform ultimate boundeness for both subsystems and the overall system.

This paper addresses the problems of stability analysis and synthesis of uniform ultimate boundedness (UUB) control for a class of nonlinear switched difference systems. This kind of discrete-time systems could be regarded as the digitization systems induced from the corresponding continuous-time switched system in virtue of the numerical integration ...

Abstract The problem of decentralized control is considered for a class of linear time–varying large scale systems with uncertainties and external disturbances in the interconnections. In the paper, the upper bounds of the uncertainties and external disturbances are assumed to be unknown, and control inputs are represented by the nonlinear functions ...

A continuous feedback controller is developed for a class of non-linear, time-varying, uncertain systems governed by functional differential equations with retarded arguments. The form of the controller guarantees that under certain assumptions all solutions are uniformly bounded in norm for time t sufficiently largo in spite of the uncertainty in ...

Multi-section web machines are widely employed in manufacturing environments that are subjected to complex external disturbances. In addition, other adverse factors such as parametric uncertainties and measurement noises also significantly degrade the operating performance of multi-section web machines, raising the challenges in control design.
