PAOLO MANTEGAZZA E LA NASCITA DELL’UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI MILANO – BICOCCA
In the late 80’s, the number of students enrolled at the University of Milano was close to 90.000. Teaching rooms, labs, studying areas, libraries, canteens, were definitively insufficient for the appropriate development of the activities. In addition, were emerging new multidisciplinary training and research areas that aspired to develop and needed ...

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

Anomalous Spin‐Optical Helical Effect in Ti‐Based Kagome Metal
The kagome lattice hosts diverse correlated quantum states, including elusive loop currents. We report spin‐handedness selective signals in CsTi3Bi5, termed the anomalous spin‐optical helical effect, surpassing conventional spin responses. Arising from light helicity coupled to spin‐orbital correlations, this effect provides a sensitive, indirect probe
