Objective Body mass index (BMI), glomerular filtration rate (GFR), and pretreatment urate levels have been reported to influence the urate‐lowering response to allopurinol. We investigated whether the fractional excretion of uric acid (FEUA) also modulates this response and relates to oxypurinol concentrations.

Objective Somatic items used in depression assessments can potentially overlap with symptoms related to physical illness, including systemic sclerosis (SSc). No studies have looked at whether somatic depression items may be influenced by diffuse versus limited SSc disease subtypes, which are associated with varying degrees of symptom presentation.

Retractions in Rheumatology: Trends, Causes, and Implications for Research Integrity
Objective We aimed to describe the trends and main reasons for study retraction in rheumatology literature. Methods We reviewed the Retraction Watch database to identify retracted articles in rheumatology. We recorded the main study characteristics, authors’ countries, reasons for retraction, time from publication to retraction, and trends over time ...

Recursive computation of the invariant measure of a stochastic differential equation driven by a L\'evy process [PDF]
We investigate some recursive procedures based on an exact or ``approximate'' Euler scheme with decreasing step in vue to computation of invariant measures of solutions to S.D.E. driven by a L\'evy process.

This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...

Co-encapsulation of Daphnia magna and microalgae in silica matrices, a stepping stone toward a portable microcosm [PDF]
We report on the first silica encapsulation of a metazoan (Daphnia magna), with a high initial viability (96% of the population remained active 48 h after encapsulation).

Fractional Skyrmion Tubes in Chiral‐Interfaced 3D Magnetic Nanowires
In chiral 3D helical magnetic nanowires, the coupling between the geometric and magnetic chirality provides a way to create topological spin states like vortex tubes. Here, it is demonstrated how the breaking of this coupling in interfaced 3D nanowires of opposite chirality leads to even more complex topological spin states, such as fractional ...

Les plaisirs et les dangers d’enseigner la science-fiction au niveau universitaire
Science fiction, in all its aspects, but mostly through an exploration of themes such as politics, social, psychology, and ethics, deserves to be studied and taught in an academic classroom.
