Assistive Control System for Upper Limb Rehabilitation Robot

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering, 2016
This paper presents an assistive control system with a special kinematic structure of an upper limb rehabilitation robot embedded with force/torque sensors. A dynamic human model integrated with sensing torque is used to simulate human interaction under three rehabilitation modes: active mode, assistive mode, and passive mode.

Research on Active–Passive Training Control Strategies for Upper Limb Rehabilitation Robot [PDF]

open access: goldMachines
Due to accidents, upper limb movement disorders have become increasingly common. Training can help restore muscle strength and rebuild neurological function. However, the existing single mode has limitations in adapting to the training needs of different

Optimized Proportional-Integral-Derivative Controller for Upper Limb Rehabilitation Robot [PDF]

open access: goldElectronics, 2019
This paper proposes a nature inspired, meta-heuristic optimization technique to tune a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller for a robotic arm exoskeleton RAX-1. The RAX-1 is a two-degrees-of-freedom (2-DOFs) upper limb rehabilitation robotic
