How Good is Your User Experience? Measuring and Designing Interactions
Form and function are important dimensions of consumer choice, but there is more in our increasingly digital world. It is not only products per se that need to be designed but the whole interaction between consumers and brands.

Adaptive ERK reactivation hinders FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia. Here, we report that FLT3 TKI treatment rapidly induces AXL expression and upregulation that is temporally associated with the adaptive ERK reactivation.

Abstract Background and purpose For postoperative breast cancer patients, deformable image registration (DIR) is challenged due to the large deformations and non‐correspondence caused by tumor resection and clip insertion. To deal with it, three metrics (fiducial‐, region‐, and intensity‐based) were jointly used in DIR algorithm for improved accuracy ...

User-experience Ecosystems: A Tool for Understanding User Experiences From the User's Viewpoint
User experience has been established as a valid concept when the user’s viewpoint of interactive products and services is considered. However, the definitions of user experience are currently linked only to the designed product or service. From the user’s perspective, the usage of a product usually includes the use of other resources as well, and all ...

The authors applied joint/mixed models that predict mortality of trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients based on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories. Patients at high risk of death could be spared aggressive therapy with the prospect of a higher quality of life in their remaining lifetime, whereas patients with a ...

User Interface and User Experience
Today it is hard to imagine an idea that would not already exist in form of a web or mobile solution. For a successful appearance of our product on the market, a good user experience is decisive. More and more developers develop products independently or in smaller agile groups, therefore knowledge of basic human perception, evaluation and usability ...

Sequential Choice Bandits with Feedback for Personalizing users' experience [PDF]
In this work, we study sequential choice bandits with feedback. We propose bandit algorithms for a platform that personalizes users' experience to maximize its rewards. For each action directed to a given user, the platform is given a positive reward, which is a non-decreasing function of the action, if this action is below the user's threshold.
