Exploring value co-creation within networks : actor-to-actor service provision within a public transport service system

open access: yes, 2011
Purpose: This study explores how value co-creation occurs at a network level in a service system comprising representatives of business, consumer, and community actors.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Creating value: value co-creation and value destruction

open access: yes, 2018
Historically, value has been understood largely in economic terms centred on, for example, notions of price, cost, profits and shareholder wealth. However, contemporary understandings of value also point at value being created through and around products and, above all, services, experiences and relationships involved in creating good, or improving the

Value Co-Creation: Exploring the Effects of Collaborating with a Proactive Generation of Customers

open access: yes, 2012
Value Co-Creation plays a central role within the Service-Dominant Logic of marketing. However, value co-creation is largely conceptual and lacks empirical evidence around both the appropriate contexts and conditions for collaborative co-creation and ...

Value and meaning co-creation in social media. Do current analysis methods accurately interpret casual talk?

open access: yes, 2017
Objectives. This research addresses the questions: what does online content reveal that should be analyzed when trying to explore co-creation of value?; How could that content be analyzed?; Why should these conversations be analyzed to enhance the ...

Cell geometry and membrane protein crowding constrain Escherichia coli growth rate, overflow metabolism, respiration, and maintenance energy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Value, variety and viability : new business models for co-creation in outcome-based contracts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
While manufacturing in the past century has been essential to wealth creation, developed economies are gradually becoming service-oriented (Ramirez, 1999). Research recommends that manufacturers should diversify into providing services to remain viable,
