The variable-mass seepage law of broken porous rock: an experimental study
Induced by tunnel excavation, the particles constantly shift in broken porous rock of faults until failure occurs, which provides channels for water inrush. Therefore, it is essential to investigate the particle migration of broken porous rock.

Dynamic characteristics of a variable-mass flexible missile [PDF]
The general motion of a variable mass flexible missile with internal flow and aerodynamic forces is considered. The resulting formulation comprises six ordinary differential equations for rigid body motion and three partial differential equations for ...

Itinerant ferromagnetism in an interacting Fermi gas with mass imbalance
We study the emergence of itinerant ferromagnetism in an ultra-cold atomic gas with a variable mass ratio between the up and down spin species. Mass imbalance breaks the SU(2) spin symmetry leading to a modified Stoner criterion.

Revisiting the D-meson hadroproduction in general-mass variable flavour number scheme
We introduce a novel realization of the open heavy-flavour hadroproduction in general-mass variable flavour number scheme at next-to-leading order in perturbative QCD.

Variability in the Lambda Orionis cluster substellar domain
We present the first results on variability of very low mass stars and brown dwarfs belonging to the 5 Myr Lambda Orionis cluster (Collinder 69). We have monitored almost continuously in the J filter a small area of the cluster which includes 12 possible

Reconstructing spatially variable mass balances from past ice extents by inverse modeling
With the conclusion of the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM), about 20 000 years ago, ended the most recent long-lasting cold phase in Earth history. This last glacial advance left a strong observable imprint on the landscape, such as moraines, trimlines and ...

Magnetohydrodynamic peristalsis of variable viscosity Jeffrey liquid with heat and mass transfer
The mathematical aspects of Dufour and Soret phenomena on the peristalsis of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Jeffrey liquid in a symmetric channel are presented. Fluid viscosity is taken variably. Lubrication approach has been followed.
