Variational Methods for Field Theories [PDF]
Four field theory models are studied: Periodic Quantum Electrodynamics (PQED) in (2 + 1) dimensions, free scalar field theory in (1 + 1) dimensions, the Quantum XY model in (1 + 1) dimensions, and the (1 + 1) dimensional Ising model in a transverse magnetic field.

Metric Methods in Calculus of Variations [PDF]
1. In each problem of calculus of variations there are four fundamental data: (I) A point-space S or a domain of a point-space. (II) A function φ from which there is derived a functional in a class P of entities of S whose dimensions are ≧ 1. With each element C of & there is associated a number, say λ>φ,(C), by a process of integration of ϕ along C ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Markov chain Monte Carlo methods for state-space models with point process observations [PDF]
This letter considers how a number of modern Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods can be applied for parameter estimation and inference in state-space models with point process observations.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

A Predictor-Corrector Methods for Mixed Inverse Variational Inequalities
In this paper, a class of mixed inverse variational inequalities is introduced and studied. We prove the existence of the solution of the auxiliary problem for mixed inverse variational inequalities, suggest a predictor-corrector method for solving the ...

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Some Proximal Methods for Solving Mixed Variational Inequalities
It is well known that the mixed variational inequalities are equivalent to the fixed point problem. We use this alternative equivalent formulation to suggest some new proximal point methods for solving the mixed variational inequalities.
