EFFECT OF SOWING DATES IN GROWTH CHARACTER,SILAGE AND GRAIN YIELD OF CORN (Zea mays L.) [PDF]

open access: yesMesopotamia Journal of Agriculture, 2018
A Field experiment  was Carried out  in Autumn Season  2012 at Mosul  and  AL- Hemidat / Thaljah village(20km West of  Mosul city)  to  study the effect of three sowing dates(1/6, 15/6and1/7 ( on the growth characters, silag and grain yield for Four corn

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

F-structures and integral points on semiabelian varieties over finite fields

open access: yes, 2002
Motivated by the problem of determining the structure of integral points on subvarieties of semiabelian varieties defined over finite fields, we prove a quantifier elimination result for certain modules over finite simple extensions of the integers given

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Göpel Varieties

open access: yes
We show that the Coble hypersurfaces, uniquely characterized by the remarkable property that their singular loci are an abelian surface and a Kummer threefold, respectively, belong to a family of hypersurfaces exhibiting similar behavior, but defined in various types of homogeneous spaces.

Atomless varieties

open access: yesJournal of Symbolic Logic, 2003
AbstractWe define a nontrivial variety of boolean algebras with operators such that every member of the variety is atomless. This shows that not every variety of boolean algebras with operators is generated by its atomic members, and thus establishes a strong incompleteness result in (multi-)modal logic.

Varieties of English Consonants Pronunciation Among English Un-dergraduate Students [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This research involved Thailand and Indonesia which is a multilingual country and has 749 dialects thoroughly. Dialect influences the way people speak foreign language in term of pronunciation, grammar and accent; the speech of people from different ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
