Chemotherapies such as doxorubicin can have toxic effects on healthy cardiovascular/heart tissue. Following up on a doxorubicin toxicity study in mice without tumors where nitrate water was cardioprotective (lessened toxicity), this study with tumor‐bearing mice undergoing doxorubicin treatment showed no negative effect of nitrate and nitrite on drug ...

The Role of Angiogenesis in Human Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas
The role of angiogenesis in the growth of lymphomas and survival of patients with leukemias and other hematological malignancies has become evident since 1994. Angiogenic factors, such as vascular endothelial growth factor and its receptors together with

LTBP4 affects renal fibrosis by influencing angiogenesis and altering mitochondrial structure
Transforming growth factor beta (TGFβ) signalling regulates extracellular matrix accumulation known to be essential for the pathogenesis of renal fibrosis; latent transforming growth factor beta binding protein 4 (LTBP4) is an important regulator of TGFβ

Cardiovascular ephrinB2 function is essential for embryonic angiogenesis [PDF]
EphrinB2, a transmembrane ligand of EphB receptor tyrosine kinases, is specifically expressed in arteries. In ephrinB2 mutant embryos, there is a complete arrest of angiogenesis.

cMet and fas receptor interaction inhibits death-inducing signaling complex formation in endothelial cells [PDF]
Fas receptor is constitutively expressed on endothelial cells; however, these cells are highly resistant to Fas-mediated apoptosis. In this study, we examined death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) formation in endothelial cells after Fas receptor ...

DDX3X induces mesenchymal transition of endothelial cells by disrupting BMPR2 signaling
Elevated DDX3X expression led to downregulation of BMPR2, a key regulator of endothelial homeostasis and function. Our co‐immunoprecipitation assays further demonstrated a molecular interaction between DDX3X and BMPR2. Notably, DDX3X promoted lysosomal degradation of BMPR2, thereby impairing its downstream signaling and facilitating endothelial‐to ...

Anti-angiogenic therapies for advanced esophago-gastric cancer
Neo-vascularization is a vital process for tumor growth and development which involves the interaction between tumor cells and stromal endothelial cells through several growth factors and membranous receptors which ultimately activate pro-angiogenic ...

A Mathematical Model for Lymphangiogenesis in Normal and Diabetic Wounds
Several studies suggest that one possible cause of impaired wound healing is failed or insufficient lymphangiogenesis, that is the formation of new lymphatic capillaries.

Pathophysiological Role of Caveolae in Hypertension [PDF]
Caveolae, flask-shaped cholesterol-, and glycosphingolipid-rich membrane microdomains, contain caveolin 1, 2, 3 and several structural proteins, in particular Cavin 1-4, EHD2, pacsin2, and dynamin 2.

This study investigates the protective role of salubrinal against heat‐induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in mouse spermatogenic cells (GC1 and GC2). By modulating the ER stress pathway, salubrinal alleviates cellular stress and supports spermatogenic cell survival, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic candidate for heat‐related infertility.
