Implementation of Hardware Architecture for SVPWM With Arbitrary Parameters

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
A novel hardware digital architecture for the Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation technique is proposed. Its features are the reduced hardware resources and the real-time variation of the values of the carrier and switching frequencies, of the phase and ...

Implementing the scale vector-thread processor [PDF]

open access: yesACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems, 2008
The Scale vector-thread processor is a complexity-effective solution for embedded computing which flexibly supports both vector and highly multithreaded processing. The 7.1-million transistor chip has 16 decoupled execution clusters, vector load and store units, and a nonblocking 32KB cache.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Soft vector processors with streaming pipelines [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2014 ACM/SIGDA international symposium on Field-programmable gate arrays, 2014
Soft vector processors (SVPs) achieve significant performance gains through the use of parallel ALUs. However, since ALUs are used in a time-multiplexed fashion, this does not exploit a key strength of FPGA performance: pipeline parallelism. This paper shows how streaming pipelines can be integrated into the datapath of a SVP to achieve dramatic ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Processor simulation as a tool for performance engineering

open access: yesFrontiers in High Performance Computing
The diversity of processor architectures used for High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications has increased significantly over the last few years. This trend is expected to continue for different reasons, including the emergence of various instruction ...

A Case for Soft Vector Processors in FPGAs [PDF]

open access: yes2007 International Conference on Field-Programmable Technology, 2007
Embedded applications today require high computational power that is not met by current FPGA-based soft processors. Although performance of data-parallel applications can be addressed by custom-designed hardware accelerators, such an approach is difficult for embedded software developers with little hardware design experience.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

A HIGH QUALITY EMBEDDED SYSTEM FOR ASSESSING FOOD QUALITY USING HISTOGRAM OF ORIENTED GRADIENTS

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Soft Computing, 2018
A low cost high quality system for accessing quality of food samples by finding the presence of fungus is proposed. Most of the food items kept for long intervals will have fungal infection in them.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
