Overcoming the limitations of conventional vector processors [PDF]
Despite their superior performance for multimedia applications, vector processors have three limitations that hinder their widespread acceptance. First, the complexity and size of the centralized vector register file limits the number of functional units. Second, precise exceptions for vector instructions are difficult to implement.

Research on Test System for Disease Aided Diagnosis
A real-time multi parameter acquisition system is designed in this paper. Sensors collect physiological parameter data. The parameters are transmitted to the main processor module via a wireless sensor network. The main processor processes the data.

Direct Torque Control of Induction Motor with Direct Calculation of Voltage Vector
Direct torque control is one of modern methods of A.C. machines control. The direct torque control methods with direct calculation of the vector voltage and vector pulse width modulator were developed and experimentally tested at the Department of ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Application of Barycentric Coordinates in Space Vector PWM Computations
This paper proposes the use of barycentric coordinates in the development and implementation of space-vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM) methods, especially for inverters with deformed space-vector diagrams.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
