GPS navigators track vehicle location in real-time. A related problem is tracking a vehicle's path after the travel. This often is a requirement for fleet management and also for ensuring correct payment of road user charges. Such path prediction uses data stored during the vehicle's travel. The problem then is to ensure storing minimum amount of data,

2016 International Conference On Advanced Informatics: Concepts, Theory And Application (ICAICTA), 2016
This paper discuss the process of developing a Vehicle Tracking Device (VTD). VTD is a tracking device focusing on vehicles that use Short Message Service (SMS). VTD will give information of location coordinate to mobile phone whenever there is a request for it through the SMS.

Estimation of track-soil interactions for autonomous tracked vehicles
Proceedings of International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002Real time estimation of soil parameters is essential in achieving precise, robust autonomous guidance and control of a tracked vehicle. The paper shows that the slip of the tracks over the terrain can be identified from trajectory data using an extended Kalman filter.

Close range vehicle detection and tracking by vehicle lights
2014 11th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal Based Surveillance (AVSS), 2014The problem of front vehicle detection and tracking during the night, unlike during the day, is that the environment provides little visible information with which to use. However, because it is important task which can help drivers at night, we propose a novel algorithm to detect and track by the location of tail lights.

Multiple Vehicle Visual Tracking from a Moving Vehicle
Sixth International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications, 2006In order to realize collision warning and avoidance, a robust and real-time dynamic vehicle detection and tracking system regardless of occlusion is required for driver assistant system (DAS). In this paper, a novel classify Vehicle Tracking method is presented for the DAS, which can be applied to general road condition and the tracking stability under

This paper covers the wide area and short range locational technologies that are available for vehicle tracking in particular and mobile user security in general. It also summarises the radio communications services that can deliver information to the user. It considers the use that can be made of these technologies, when combined with procedures

Vehicle Detection and Tracking
2011This chapter proposes a multi-resolution hypothesis–validation structure to detect on-road vehicles in time. We remove the limitation of A. Broggio’s approach and build a simple and efficient hypothesis–validation structure which combines three steps. In the ROI determination step, we extract ROIs using lane markings instead of fixed regions. Following

The Vehicle Tracking System for Analyzing Transportation Vehicle Information
2006The several moving object query languages have been designed to deal with moving objects effectively. However most of them are not enough to manage vehicles in transportation system. So, to analyze vehicle information in transportation effectively, we propose the web-based transportation vehicle management system supporting a Moving Object Structured ...
