This study demonstrates that ALY688, a drug mimicking the heart‐protective hormone adiponectin, reduces myocardial ischemia injury. ALY688 increases the production of extracellular vesicles, which carry protective cargo including adiponectin itself.

We demonstrate here that hepatic triglyceride lipase (HTGL) enhances VLDL degradation in cultured cells by a LDL receptor-mediated mechanism. VLDL binding at 4°C and degradation at 37°C by normal fibroblasts was stimulated by HTGL in a dose-dependent ...

Effect of “Garbha Cintamani Rasa”, an ayurvedic formulation on lipid profile, liver function and kidney function parameters of rat plasma after chronic administration [PDF]
Garbha Cintamani Rasa (GCM), a classical Ayurvedic preparation which is used in puerperal complications, was studied for its effect on liver function, kidney function and lipid profile after chronic administrations into the biological system.

Effect of low density lipoprotein receptor deficiency on the metabolism of apolipoprotein B-100 in blood plasma. Kinetic studies in normal and Watanabe heritable hyperlipidemic rabbits [PDF]
The kinetics of apolipoprotein (apo) B-100 in particles containing apo E (B,E particles) or lacking apo E (B particles) were studied in Watanabe heritable hyperlipidemic (WHHL) rabbits deficient in low density lipoprotein (LDL) receptors, and compared ...

Serum pseudocholinesterase and very‐low‐density lipoprotein metabolism
AbstractSerum pseudocholinesterase (PChE) was discovered in 1932. Since this protein mimics many of the catalytic properties of acetylcholinesterase, it has traditionally been referred to as PChE, even though its true biological function is unknown.

CORE: Cholesterol Altered Lipid Nanoparticles for Splenic Expression of mRNA Payloads
In this paper researchers introduce CORE LNPs, a new class of lipid nanoparticles engineered to redirect mRNA expression away from the liver and into the spleen, a key immune organ. By combining chemical design with computational tools, they created cholesterol analogs that enable precise spleen‐targeted expression, providing greater applications for ...

Increased risk of atherosclerosis by elevated plasma levels of phospholipid transfer protein. [PDF]
Plasma phospholipid transfer protein (PLTP) is thought to be involved in the remodeling of high density lipoproteins (HDL), which are atheroprotective. It is also involved in the metabolism of very low density lipoproteins (VLDL). Hence,

A human microfluidic blood‐brain barrier (mBBB) model enables spatially resolved comparison of nanoparticle trafficking. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), liposomes, and nanoplastics exhibit distinct transport and disruption behaviors, revealing that membrane composition and uptake pathways govern BBB interaction.

This review examines how in vitro electrical and mechanical stimulation modulates wound healing in fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Analyzing over 560 experimental data points, we relate stimulation parameters to proliferation and migration outcomes, evaluate platform designs, and highlight the need for multi‐parameter optimization to advance targeted ...
