Phylogeographic Characterizations of Recent (2015–2023) Senecavirus A Isolates from Canada

open access: yesViruses
Senecavirus A (SVA) continues to cause vesicular lesions in swine in Canada and many regions worldwide. Since the vesicular lesions caused by SVA are similar to those caused by foot and mouth disease virus, swine vesicular disease virus and vesicular ...

Polyadenylation of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus mRNA [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Virology, 1974
Vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) mRNA isolated from infected cell polysomes contains polyadenylic acid [poly(A)] sequences. Detergent-activated purified virions in vitro can transcribe complementary RNA, which has sedimentation properties similar to mRNA, and this RNA also contains poly(A) sequences.

Vesicular Stomatitis Virus Transmission: A Comparison of Incriminated Vectors

open access: yesInsects, 2018
Vesicular stomatitis (VS) is a viral disease of veterinary importance, enzootic in tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas. In the U.S., VS produces devastating economic losses, particularly in the southwestern states where the outbreaks display

Vesicular stomatitis outbreak in the southwestern United States, 2012

open access: yes, 2013
Vesicular stomatitis is a viral disease primarily affecting horses and cattle when it occurs in the United States. Outbreaks in the southwestern United States occur sporadically, with initial cases typically occurring in Texas, New Mexico, or Arizona and

Translation of vesicular stomatitis messenger RNA by extracts from mammalian and plant cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
RNA was isolated from polyribosomes of vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV)-infected cells and tested for its ability to direct protein synthesis in extracts of animal and plant cells.

Acute malaria dysregulates specialized lymph node macrophages to suppress vaccine-elicited protection against the Ebola virus

open access: yesmBio
The filovirus, Ebola virus (EBOV), causes outbreaks of EBOV disease (EVD) throughout equatorial Africa. ERVEBO is a replication-competent recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus-vectored vaccine encoding the EBOV glycoprotein (recombinant vesicular ...

Structure of the vesicular stomatitis virus N⁰-P complex.

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2011
Replication of non-segmented negative-strand RNA viruses requires the continuous supply of the nucleoprotein (N) in the form of a complex with the phosphoprotein (P).
