The human immunoglobulin VH repertoire
Immunology Today, 1995A complete map of the human immunoglobulin VH locus on chromosome 14 has recently been constructed. The locus is 1100kb in length and contains 51 functional VH segments interspersed amongst a similar number of pseudogenes. Here, Graham Cook and Ian Tomlinson review the organization of the locus, its polymorphism and the repertoire it encodes.

"Video Hyperlinking" refers to the creation of links connecting videos that share near-duplicate segments. Like hyperlinks in HTML documents, the video links help user navigating videos of similar content, and facilitate the mining of iconic clips (or visual memes) spread among videos. Figure 1 shows some example of iconic clips, which can be leveraged

Recombination between VH pseudogenes
Molecular Immunology, 1989The peculiar pattern of nucleotide differences between germline VH genes V104A/VAR104 and 122B could be the result of an exchange of genetic information through gene conversion. A palindromic sequence in one of the genes seems to have been the target site for the break that initiated recombination.

This chapter develops ideas from an artist’s residency exploring VHS video rental as a feature of changing spatial practices informed by forces of material-social agency and economies of mark-making. It addresses the circularity of relations between the materiality of VHS technology, the engineered recordings it has potentiated, the practices both of ...

Rat anti-T15 monoclonal antibodies with specificity for VH and VH-VL epitopes
Molecular Immunology, 1984BALB/c mice immunized with phosphorylcholine (PC) produce antibodies which are predominantly of the T15 idiotype. Monoclonal anti-T15 antibodies have been generated in a number of laboratories by allogenic or syngenic immunization. Most of these mouse monoclonal antibodies react with idiotopes that are in or near the PC-binding site and require the ...

VH replacement in mice and humans
Trends in Immunology, 2007Heavy chain variable segment (V(H)) replacement refers to recombination activating gene (RAG) product-mediated secondary recombination between a previously rearranged V(H) gene and an upstream unrearranged V(H) gene. V(H) replacement was first observed in mouse pre-B cell lines and later demonstrated in knock-in mouse models carrying immunoglobulin ...

Selection of Non-aggregating VH Binders from Synthetic VH Phage-Display Libraries
2008The particular interest in VH antibody fragments stems from the fact that they can rival their "naturally occurring" single-domain antibody (sdAb) counterparts (camelid VHHs and shark VNARs) with regard to such desirable characteristics as stability, solubility, expression, and ability to penetrate cryptic epitopes and outperform them in terms of less ...
