INVESTIGATION ON THE QUALITY OF BRIQUETTES MADE FROM RARELY USED WOOD SPECIES, AGRO-WASTES AND FOREST BIOMASS [PDF]
Characteristics of briquettes made from various biomass resources (staghorn sumac wood, vineyard and apple tree pruning biomass, pine cones, corn stalk and corn cobs) were investigated in the present paper. The moisture content of raw materials was first

Turning Water to Wine: An Analysis of Texas Wine Industry Water Management
ABSTRACT The Texas wine industry is expanding in scale and reputation during a period when sustainability concerns are increasingly visible and valuable to grape growers and wine producers in Texas. Most vineyard hectarage in Texas is in the High Plains and Hill Country American Viticultural Areas (AVAs), which rely on regional aquifers for water. With

GIS-Based Approach for Modeling Vineyard and Apple Orchard Suitability in Mountainous Regions
Climate change is expected to negatively impact agricultural production, leading to phenological and metabolic changes, increased water demands, diminished yields, and changed organoleptic characteristics, restricting the positive geographic productivity

Is quinoa‐farming sustainable in marginal environments? Social, economical and environmental aspects
Abstract Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) is an Andean grain crop introduced as a novel crop to many parts of the world in recent years. Recognized for nutritious seeds and high abiotic stress tolerance, it has been promoted as an element of climate‐resilient agriculture, particularly in marginal environments.

Abstract Flow cytometry measures the optical properties of individual cells and has become essential for enumerating and characterizing marine phytoplankton. Yet systematic comparison of measurements across instruments remains limited, hampering data comparison across laboratories and long‐term time series.

Chitosan dispersions containing biochar derived from vine pruning residue showed increasing shear stress and improved thermal stability with loading. Flow behavior was described by the Bingham plastic model in all cases. These results support the valorization of agricultural waste in functional biopolymer formulations.
