The predatory effect of the honey‐buzzard affects the reproductive performance of Asian‐hornet colonies, decreasing the density of workers over distance and time. The foraging distances of the honey‐buzzard concentrates within the first 2000 m from nest, which supports the results observed.

How Passive Acoustic and Traditional Monitoring Estimate Bird Diversity Across Habitats
We compared traditional bird counts (PC) with passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) in a heterogeneous Alpine landscape. PAM recorded twice as many species, with a strong correlation between species richness and the bird counts (rs = 0.71); however, there were significant differences depending on habitat type.
