Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

Reexamining a Host-Associated Genomic Diversity of Bean Golden Mosaic Virus (BGMV) Isolates from Phaseolus Species and Other Fabaceae Hosts [PDF]
Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris and P. lunatus) are the major hosts of bean golden mosaic begomovirus (BGMV). Robust taxonomic criteria were established for Begomovirus species demarcation.

Marine Viral Diversity and Spatiotemporal Variability
Marine viruses are the most numerous biological entities in the ocean, with an estimated abundance of 4 x 1030. They merit study not only because of their sheer abundance, but also because of the role they play in the Earth\u27s biogeochemical cycles ...

Application of deep sequencing methods for inferring viral population diversity
[[abstract]]The first deep sequencing method was announced in 2005. Due to an increasing number of sequencing data and a reduction in the costs of each sequencing dataset, this innovative technique was soon applied to genetic investigations of viral ...

The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.

Investigation of denugue virus envelope gene quasispecies variation in patient samples : implications for virus virulence and disease pathognesis [PDF]
Due to the error-prone nature of RNA virus replication, each dengue virus (DV) exists as a quasispecies within the host. To investigate the hypothesis that DV quasispecies populations affect disease severity, serum samples were obtained from dengue ...

Mesoblends consist of a nanostructured polymer into which a second polymer is imbibed with a selective solvent. In this work, a solvent‐templatable pentablock terpolymer possessing a sulfonated midblock is modified with a hydrophilic polymer that is photocrosslinked in situ, yielding a hierarchical binetwork.

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

A multivalent DNA nanostructure‐enabled lateral flow assay was developed for rapid, ultrasensitive detection of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) nucleocapsid protein. Designer net‐shaped DNA nanostructures (DNA‐Net) presenting PEDV‐specific aptamers achieved ~1000‐fold enhanced binding, enabling detection of viral copies with Ct ≤ 37.42 within 10
