In nonspecialist departments, most anti‐HCV–positive individuals do not proceed to RNA testing. The Elecsys HCV Duo assay simultaneously detects anti‐HCV antibodies and core antigen from a single blood draw and preferentially identifies patients with clinically meaningful viral loads.

Abstract Hepatitis C virus (HCV) remains a significant global health burden, with vertical transmission being the primary route of infection in children. Direct‐acting antivirals (DAAs) have transformed HCV treatment in pediatrics, but limited data exist on their administration in medically complex children who are dependent on enteral tubes. We report

Disease Progression Mathematical Modeling With a Case Study on Hepatitis B Virus Infection
ABSTRACT Chronic Hepatitis B presents a significant health and socioeconomic burden. The risk of hepatocellular carcinoma remains elevated although treatments are available. Achieving an optimal treatment regimen necessitates a deep comprehension of the dynamic relationship between the virus and its host across disease states.

ABSTRACT Scaling up hepatitis C virus (HCV) testing and treatment for people who inject drugs (PWID) is essential to achieve HCV elimination. We report a retrospective systems‐informed qualitative process evaluation of HCV care across multiple community‐based settings in a region in Scotland, UK.

In women living with HIV, HPV clearance occurred after a mean of approximately 2 years under antiretroviral therapy. Baseline positivity for the high‐risk HPV pool was associated with delayed clearance, suggesting that HPV genotype may influence viral persistence more than immunovirological status in clinically stable patients.

Maternal HBeAg positivity and viremia associated with umbilical cord blood hepatitis B viremia [PDF]
Hepatitis B (HBV) transmission may result from in utero transmission. We aimed to determine the correlation between maternal serum and umbilical cord blood HBV DNA levels in infants delivered by chronic HBV-infected mothers and to describe the effect of cord blood viremia on vertical transmission.A prospective cohort of 92 chronic HBV-infected mother ...
