Virtual phonon exchange in glasses
In this article we demonstrate the importance of the indirect interaction via the phonon field between pairs of defects in an amorphous material. Using only the approximate value of the lattice coupling constant it is shown that the exchange interaction is large. The most important conclusion that can be drawn from this calculation is that the order of

SUSY-QCD Corrections to Higgs Boson Production at Hadron Colliders [PDF]
We analyze the next-to-leading order SUSY-QCD corrections to the production of Higgs particles at hadron colliders in supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model.

Heavy mass expansion, light-by-light scattering and the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon [PDF]
Contributions from light-by-light scattering to (g_\mu-2)/2, the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, are mediated by the exchange of charged fermions or scalar bosons.

Photons, neutrinos and large compact space dimensions [PDF]
We compute the contribution of Kaluza-Klein graviton exchange to the cross section for photon-neutrino scattering. Unlike the usual situation where the virtual graviton exchange represents a small correction to a leading order electroweak or strong ...

Virtual exchange in Latin America: a profile of faculty and staff participants
Latin American educational institutions report some of the lowest internationalization rates in the world (OECD, 2019). Historically, recognized barriers to internationalization have included programs based largely on student mobility as well as a lack ...

We propose a theory which exploits the charge-exchange reactions ($^3$He,$^3$H$\pi^+$) and (p,n$\pi^+$) as effective sources of virtual pions. We consider processes in which the creation of virtual pions is followed by conventional coupled-channel pion ...

Uplifting the well-being of teacher candidates through virtual exchange during COVID-19
COVID-19 is a time of adversity for college students. Different universities have taken different measures to uplift student well-being. Virtual exchange was a tool that improved student well-being, relieved distress, and helped students focus on their ...

Towards business model and technical platform for the service oriented context-aware mobile virtual communities [PDF]
The focus of existing virtual communities is centered on a particular product or social interaction and the role of mobile devices is restricted to exchange a limited amount of contents.
