Construction of Sabatier Volcanoes for CO2 Hydrogenation to C1‐2 Oxygenates Using Data‐Efficient Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new data‐efficient framework combining DFT calculations, a neural network model, and automated graph analysis of catalytic reaction networks is proposed and applied to CO2 hydrogenation on transition metal nanoparticles. The analysis shows how efficient C2 oxygenate production requires a balance between CHx formation, C–C coupling, protonation, and ...

Dynamic Single‐Binding Event Profiling With on‐Chip Microlenses for Wash‐Free Digital Biosensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A microlens‐enhanced platform enables real‐time tracking and digital counting of single‐binding events using conventional bright‐field microscopy. Amplified scattering signals from gold nanoparticle labels and kinetic signature analysis allow wash‐free discrimination between specific and nonspecific interactions, while providing kinetic and mechanistic

Virtual Digital Libraries

open access: yes, 2006
Digital libraries represent the meeting places for knowledge providers and knowledge consumers supporting and enhancing the process through which knowledge is created, used, and discovered. The demand for digital libraries is worldwide strong. These complex systems can offer a richer set of functionality than that initially expected and are able to ...

Targeting a Myeloid–Regulatory B Cell Network Reverses Immune Paralysis in Periprosthetic Joint Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Periprosthetic joint infection establishes a sophisticated immunosuppressive network between CXCR4+ PMN‐MDSCs and Bregs, inducing profound CD8+ T cell paralysis. Alendronate effectively disrupts this CXCR4+ PMN‐MDSC–Breg axis by targeting STAT3, thereby restoring local immune surveillance.

The Virtual Library in Action [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The SLAC Library has for many years provided SPIRES-HEP, a 300,000 record bibliographic database, to the world particle physics community via the Internet as well as through clone sites in Europe and Japan. The 1991 introduction of the e-print archives at LANL coupled with the World-Wide-Web (WWW) from CERN suddenly made it possible to provide easy ...
