Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. Factors in the inactivation of Encephalomyocarditis virus in aerosols [PDF]

Encephalomyocarditis virus in aerosols is inactivated rapidly at relative humidities below 50%. In glycerol-water mixtures a similar decrease of infectivity occurs when the glycerol concentration exceeds 78% (wt/wt), corresponding to a relative humidity of 50%. The decay in aerosols does not involve oxygen or surface-dependent factors.
