Fossil Hegemony and Capitalist Realism in Tropic of Orange
ABSTRACT This article examines Karen Tei Yamashita's Tropic of Orange (1997) through the lens of Mark Fisher's influential concept ‘capitalist realism’. Subsistence Through Disappearance: Theology of the Unseen in the Films of Michelangelo Antonioni
ABSTRACT The present study contends that the theology of Michelangelo Antonioni's 1960s cinema is structured by a reductio ad absurdum logic, whereby the presence of certain qualities is proven by the portrayal of their absence. It is argued that Antonioni's intention to show what is by specifying what is not may have been rooted in a modernist ...

ABSTRACT Objective Impulsivity is a transdiagnostic risk factor for numerous health morbidities and is strongly associated with early relapse and poor treatment outcomes in addictions and mood‐disorders. Lithium carbonate can be helpful in moderating the impulsive behaviors associated with mania, possibly mediated by reduced myo‐inositol activity ...

High‐speed infrared video analysis of sonations in the scissor‐tailed nightjar Hydropsalis torquata
Many species of nightjar reportedly produce short, impulsive wing sounds during courtship, but the kinematics and physical mechanisms of sound production remain speculative. Using synchronized infrared high‐speed video and audio recordings we describe the mechanism of sound production of a sonation in the nocturnal family Caprimulgidae; the wing ...

CONCERT: A Modular Reconfigurable Robot for Construction
ABSTRACT This paper presents CONCERT, a fully reconfigurable modular collaborative robot (cobot) for multiple on‐site operations in a construction site. CONCERT has been designed to support human activities in construction sites by leveraging two main characteristics: high‐power density motors and modularity. In this way, the robot is able to perform a
