BLOC: Buildable and Linkable Organ on a Chip
We developed a “Buildable and Linkable Organ on a Chip” (BLOC) that can construct diverse microphysiological systems (MPSs). The BLOC is standardized to the same size and has one of the functions of “Culture,” “Control,” or “Analysis.” Users can freely configure various MPSs, including developing perfusion, cytotoxicity analysis, and biochemical ...

Safety and Effectiveness of Stoss Therapy in Children with Vitamin D Deficiency [PDF]
Objectives: Paediatric vitamin D (25-hydroxyvitamin D - 25OHD) deficiency can lead to nutritional rickets and extra-skeletal complications. Compliance with daily therapy can be difficult, making high dose, short-term vitamin D (stoss) therapy attractive ...

Chemically Doped Conductive Polymers for Wearable Health Monitoring
Among conductive polymers, poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), polyaniline (PANI), and polypyrrole (PPy) are the most studied and applied. Chemical doping significantly boosts intrinsic conductivity and mechanical robustness.

An Accessible Microfluidic Platform for the Generation of Polarized Brain Organoids
This study presents an accessible double‐gradient microfluidic device that enables controlled morphogen delivery and spatially polarized differentiation in brain organoids. By integrating a pump‐free design and stable fabrication method, the platform generates dorsal–ventral neuronal asymmetry, offering a reproducible and versatile approach to model ...

Climate Change Threatens Micronutrient Density of European Winter Wheat
Micronutrients are vital for human health. Wheat is a major staple crop and a significant source of minerals and B‐vitamins. The impact of climate change on their content remains largely unknown. We evaluated micronutrient levels in European winter wheat grown under historical and projected climate conditions. Our findings indicate that future climates

Scurvy as a mimicker of arthritis: Isolated hemarthrosis due to vitamin C deficiency, a case report
Scurvy, linked to Vitamin C deficiency, can be challenging to diagnose in the western hemisphere, known for its ample Vitamin C-rich dietary choices. Moreover, presentation of the symptoms may vary and lead to a complex, diagnostic dilemma.

Quantification of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) requirements of Heterobranchus longifilis fingerlings [PDF]
A feeding experiment was conducted to quantify the minimum dietary vitamin C requirement of Heterobranchus longifilis fingerlings and the minimal dietary inclusion levels that will meet these requirements after degradation from feed processing and ...

Improved Systemic Immunochemotherapy Employing an Oxaliplatin‐TLR7/8 Agonist Prodrug Strategy
A platinum(IV) prodrug is developed to systemically deliver the TLR7/8 agonist gardiquimod. Tumor‐targeting is mediated by an albumin‐binding maleimide, which limits premature complex activation. Ox‐Gardi‐Mal accumulates specifically in the tumor, where it activates the immune system.
