Sero‐Epidemiology and Molecular Detection of Bluetongue Virus in Goats in Bangladesh

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.
The first large‐scale study in Bangladesh confirmed bluetongue virus infection in goats through combined c‐ELISA and nested RT‐PCR approaches, revealing high seroprevalence and identifying key management‐related risk factors. ABSTRACT Background Bluetongue (BT) is an arthropod‐transmitted, non‐contagious viral disease of domestic ruminants caused by ...

Simultaneous construction strategy using two types of fluorescent markers for HVT vector vaccine against infectious bursal disease and H9N2 avian influenza virus by NHEJ-CRISPR/Cas9

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science
Recently, herpesvirus of turkeys (HVT), which was initially employed as a vaccine against Marek’s disease (MD), has been shown to be a highly effective viral vector for producing recombinant vaccines that can simultaneously express the protective ...

Phylogenetic characterization of Canine Parvovirus VP2 partial sequences from symptomatic dogs samples

open access: yes, 2016
The aim of the present study was to detect canine parvovirus (CPV) from faecal samples of clinically ill domestic dogs by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) followed by VP2 gene partial sequencing and molecular characterization of circulating strains in ...

Identification and Phylogenetic Characterisation of Novel Adeno‐Associated Virus Capsids in Non‐Human Primate Tissues

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 59, Issue 5, May 2026.
AAV's widespread application is currently confronting critical challenges. This study established a systematic framework of ‘natural discovery–evolutionary analysis–functional optimization’, providing a new paradigm for the development of next‐generation AAV vectors with clinical‐grade tissue specificity, low immunogenicity, and cross‐species ...

Nucleotides sequence of the genes for the simian virus 40 proteins VP2 and VP3.

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1978
We have determined the nucleotide sequence of the DNA of simian virus 40. The proceeding report (Dhar, R., Reddy, V.B., and Weissman, S.M. (1978) J. Biol. Chem. 253, 612-620) presents the sequence of a portion of the simian virus 40 DNA that overlaps the region encoding the 5' end of the minor structural protein VP2.

Age‐Related Asymptomatic Rhinovirus Infections Contribute to the Sustained Prevalence in Adults and Are Not Mitigated by Nonpharmaceutical Interventions

open access: yesInfluenza and Other Respiratory Viruses, Volume 20, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Rhinovirus (RV) is a common respiratory virus, but asymptomatic RV infections in adults still require further investigation. Nonpharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) for COVID‐19 markedly reduced other respiratory viruses, yet RV circulation appeared to persist.

Image_1_Oral delivery of Eimeria acervulina transfected sequentially with two copies of the VP2 gene induces immunity against infectious bursal disease virus in chickens.TIF

open access: yes
Chicken coccidiosis caused by Eimeria spp. can occur on almost all poultry farms, causing huge economic losses to the industry. Genetically manipulated Eimeria parasites as a vaccine vector to deliver viral antigens have been reported. In our preliminary
