Soil structure stability and distribution of carbon in water-stable aggregates in different tilled and fertilized Haplic Luvisol

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 2012
The influence of tillage and fertilization on soil structure stability and the distribution of carbon in water-stable aggregates of loamy Haplic Luvisol were studied.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

The dynamics of soil aggregate breakdown in water in response to landuse as measured with laser diffraction technique [PDF]

open access: yes
The Mastersizer 2000G (Malvern Instruments) Diffraction Instrument was used to assess and quantify the breakdown of soil aggregates and compute wet aggregate stability indices.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Medium-term Impact of Conservation Agriculture on Soil Organic Carbon and Water Stable Aggregates in a Rainfed Hilly Agro-ecosystem

open access: yesInternational Journal of Bio-Resource and Stress Management, 2023
The impact of conservation agriculture production system (CAPS) on soil organic carbon, bulk density, water stable aggregates and dry season soil moisture content across the profile (0−5, 5−10 and 10−20 cm) was assessed at the end of the 3rd cropping ...

Extraction of Heavy Metals from Water-Stable Soil Aggregates Using EDTA

open access: yesProcedia Environmental Sciences, 2013
AbstractSurface soil samples (0-15cm) were collected from a lead/zinc tailing site in Nanjing, China, and separated into four size fractions of water-stable aggregates. Metal contents in the bulk soil were 7479±370 mg·kg-1 for Zn, 4189±82 mg·kg-1 for Pb, 58.0±0.4 mg·kg-1 for Cd and 544±22mg·kg-1 for Cu, respectively.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Soil structure and aggregate stability of A-horizons in different soil types across the Nitra Valley slope, western Slovakia

open access: yesGeographia Polonica
The aim of the study was to identify the impact of the basic soil properties and slope inclination on the distribution and stability of water-stable aggregates in three different land uses (deciduous forest, vineyard, arable soil) across three soil types

Soil Organic-Matter in Water-Stable Aggregates Under Different Soil-Management Practices

open access: yesAgriculture, 2017
An experiment of different management practices in a commercial vineyard, which was established in 2006 in the locality of Nitra-Dražovce, Slovakia on Rendzic Leptosol, was used to evaluate the dynamics of soil organic-matter parameters during the years ...
