Study of Hydrophobic Domains in Humic Acids [PDF]
Fyzikálně-chemická povaha hydrofobních domén huminových kyselin byla studována z několika hledisek. K objasnění významu fluorescenčních spekter byly vzorky podrobeny sekvenční frakcionaci, která pomohla k částečnému objasnění vlivu vodorozpustných složek,

Laboratory Soil Handling Affects CO2 Respiration, Amino-N and Water Stable Aggregate Results [PDF]
Laboratory analysis of soil traits associated with soil quality or soil health has gained popularity very recently reflecting a trend begun over a half-century ago scrutinizing farming systems for potentially deleterious soil effects. This renewed focus has brought into the forefront concerns about how laboratory soil handling may influence the ...

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Stability and performance of two GSBR operated in alternating anoxic/aerobic or anaerobic/aerobic conditions for nutrient removal [PDF]
Two granular sludge sequencing batch reactors (GSBR) with alternating anoxic/aerobic (R1) and anaerobic/aerobic (R2) conditions were operated with a 4-carbon-source synthetic influent. The physical properties of the granular sludge were very good (SVI≈20

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Salt-induced reentrant stability of polyion-decorated particles with tunable surface charge density
The electrostatic complexation between DOTAP-DOPC unilamellar liposomes and an oppositely charged polyelectrolyte (NaPA) has been investigated in a wide range of the liposome surface charge density.

Monitoring of the Aggregation Process of Dense Colloidal Silica Suspensions in a Stirred Tank by Acoustic Spectroscopy [PDF]
The aim of this study is to analyze the behaviour of dense colloidal suspensions in flow by acoustic spectroscopy. The destabilization and the aggregation of stable colloidal silica dispersions in a stirred tank are obtained by addition of salt ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.
