This study showcases the characterization of a surface modified polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) hollow fiber membrane via Cellulose/PVDF coating. Scanning electron microscopy shows evidence of Cellulose/PVDF coating where surface roughness and coating ...

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Albumin and water fluxes during cardiopulmonary bypass
If cardiopulmonary bypass is done with a hypooncotic prime, the initial fall in colloid osmotic pressure in the patient is followed by an incomplete compensatory rise. The mechanism of this rise has been investigated by studying the time course of the specific activity and the concentration of 125I albumin activity in the plasma.

Airborne lidar observations of water vapour variability and transport
Water vapour, a minor constituent of the earth’s atmosphere, plays a major role in the radiation budget and the water cycle with important implications for weather and climate. Due to the heterogeneous distribution of its sources, evaporation, and sinks,

Water transport through carbon nanotubes with defects [PDF]
Non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations are performed to investigate how changing the number of structural defects in the wall of a (7,7) single-wall carbon nanotube (CNT) affects water transport and internal fluid dynamics. Structural defects are

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Membrane life estimation in full-scale immersed membrane bioreactors [PDF]
Limited quantitative available information exists regarding the robustness of membranes used in immersed membrane bioreactor (iMBR) applications, and no information on the relative contribution of the two main membrane failure modes of permeability ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
