Water-level probe

Journal of Hydrology, 1968
AN INSTRUMENT WAS DESIGNED TO INDICATE ANY CHANGE IN THE UNDERGROUND WATER LEVEL. THE DESIGN APPROACH WAS TO USE THE CONDUCTIVITY OF THE WATER AS THE SENSING MECHANISM, SINCE ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF CURRENT FLOW THROUGH THE WATER IS REQUIRED TO GENERATE A USEABLE SIGNAL. AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS OF USE, THE ALUMINUM ELECTRODES WERE BADLY CORRODED.

Water level indication

Nuclear Engineering and Design, 1987
Abstract The possibility of measuring the water level in a PWR by studying the natural frequency of its pendular oscillation is discussed. The effect is complicated both by the complex internals and by the generation of surface waves when the vessel is partially full. For small losses of inventory the effects are measurable, but not large.

Water level sensor

Monitoring water levels in retention basins is crucial for effective water resource management and the prevention of natural disasters such as floods and droughts. The aim of this work is to design and implement a continuous water level measurement device using Internet of Things (IoT) principles.
