Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Behavior of Ships in Shallow and Restricted Waters [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications, 2001
Ship motions in open waters and waves are always dynamic and most of the time are nonlinear. Even though behavior of ships in shallow and restricted waters does not sound as violent at first thought, it is equally important in terms of capsizing. There has been so many casualties reported that claimed so many lives.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Bridging the Water Supply-Demand Gap in Australia: a Desalination Case Study

open access: yes, 2013
Water supply in Australia mainly relies on precipitation and, therefore, is highly dependent on climate variability and change. Coupled with reduced rainfall reliability, population and economic growth and increasing competition for water resources ...

Effect of water restriction on feeding and metabolism in dairy cows

open access: yes, 2001
We investigated how lactating cows are able to cope with a sustained water restriction. In experiment 1, body weight and meal patterns were recorded with ad libitum access to water (baseline) and during 8 days of 25 and 50% restriction of drinking water

Changes in physiological parameters of boldo plants under water deficit conditions

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Tropical
Water deficit is one of the main factors affecting the growth and development of boldo plants. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of water deficit on the growth and physiological parameters of Plectranthus barbatus.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Short water restriction episode in lactating Alpine and Saanen goats

open access: yes, 2014
This project aims to assess the effect of a short episode of water restriction on high producing lactating goats. Water was withheld from eight Saanen and eight Alpine goats after the afternoon milking and until the following morning, on two consecutive ...

Mouse Water Restriction v1

open access: yes
This protocol describes a semi-customized workflow to perform water restriction with mice designated for future experiments. Water restriction is a common method used to increase engagement and motivation of mice performing behavioral experiments that use water as a reward.
