CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Effect of water diuresis and water restriction on expression of HSPs-27, -60 and -70 in rat kidney

open access: yes, 1996
Effect of water diuresis and water restriction on expression of HSPs-27, -60 and -70 in rat kidney. Expression of HSP-27, HSP-60 and HSP-70 was estimated in the cortex, outer medulla and inner medulla (papilla) of rats undergoing water diuresis or water ...

DISTRIBUTION OF CATTLE ON SLOPE WITHOUT WATER RESTRICTIONS

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Animal Science, 1990
A study was made in the Porcupine Hills of southwestern Alberta to determine cattle distribution on slope when water is available at the top, middle, and bottom of the slope. Cows with calves were stocked at two rates (1.9 and 3.8 animal unit months (AUM) ha−1) and three replications over six small pastures in a completely random design. The study was

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Acclimation to Water Restriction Implies Different Paces for Behavioral and Physiological Responses in a Lizard Species

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceChronic changes in climate conditions may select for acclimation responses in terrestrial animals living in fluctuating environments and beneficial acclimation responses may be key to the resilience of these species to global ...
