Existence of weak solutions for a non-homogeneous solidification mathematical model
This article studies the existence of weak solutions for a stationary non-homogeneous system of equations describing the solidification process of a binary alloy confined to a regular bounded domain in $R^3$ and having mixed boundary conditions.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

In this work, we are interested in the mathematical model of reaction diffusion systems. The originality of our study is to work with concentrations appearing in reactors together with measure initial data.

To verify the solution of a typical Crocco boundary problem, a numerical experiment was performed using an implicit second-order difference scheme. It is shown that a numerical solution approximates a weak solution of a typical Crocco limit problem ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Nonexistence of solutions results for certain fractional differential equations
This paper is meant to establish sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of weak solutions to nonlinear fractional diffusion equation in space and time with nonlinear convective term. The Fujita exponent is determined.

A problem with dynamical boundary condition for a one-dimensional hyperbolic equation
In this paper, we consider a problem with dynamical boundary conditions for a hyperbolic equation. The dynamical boundary condition is a convenient method to take into account the presence of certain damper when fixing the end of a string or a beam ...

Weak solutions for weak turbulence models in electrostatic plasmas
The weak turbulence model, also known as the quasilinear theory in plasma physics, has been a cornerstone in modeling resonant particle-wave interactions in plasmas. This reduced model stems from the Vlasov-Poisson/Maxwell system under the weak turbulence assumption, incorporating the random phase approximation and ergodicity.

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
