Oral Nanomicelle‐Mediated Sequential Butyrate Production in the Intestine for Ulcerative Colitis and Immunosuppression Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
After oral administration, inodorous GLU‐BA self‐assembles into nanomicelles in aqueous environments to resist premature gastric adsorption. Upon reaching the intestine, endogenous esterases rapidly cleave the built‐in ester bonds in these nanomicelles to release BA and GLU, with GLU further metabolized by gut microbiota to gradually generate BA ...

Grtp1 Safeguards Against Paternal Reproductive Aging and Intergenerational Behavioral Deficits by Preserving Redox Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies that Grtp1 maintains germline redox homeostasis by interacting with PRDX1/4‐TXN to antagonize paternal reproductive aging. Growth hormone restores Grtp1 expression, rectifies aberrant sperm DNA methylation, and ameliorates intergenerational anxiety and social deficits, highlighting the GH‐GRTP1 axis as a promising intervention ...

Oligosaccharides With Defined Glycosidic Bonds Shape Gut Microbial Succession and Metabolism Via Bond‐Specific Microbial Responders

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Oligosaccharides with defined glycosidic bonds drive divergent gut microbial succession and shape unique metabolic profiles. Absolute time‐series profiling with Bayesian generalized Lotka–Volterra modeling identifies bond‐specific microbial responders, while monoculture validation and metaproteomics reveal linkage‐matched transport and cleavage modules.

Reversing Macrophage Immunometabolic Dysfunction in Prolonged Infections Via a Glutaminolysis‐Fueled Restoration‐Based Hierarchically Selective Therapeutic System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A hierarchically selective immunotherapeutic nanoplatform, mGls@HEV‐MTP, selectively restores macrophage immunocompetence through GLS1‐mediated restoration of glutaminolysis‐fueled anaplerosis. Concurrently, it renders Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) more readily recognizable to the metabolically reprogrammed macrophages, thereby facilitating ...

Metabolic profile and bioactivity of the peel of Zhoupigan (Citrus reticulata cv. Manau Gan), a special citrus variety in China, based on GC–MS, UPLC-ESI-MS/MS analysis, and in vitro assay

open access: yesFood Chemistry: X
Zhoupigan (Citrus reticulata cv. Manau Gan) is a local citrus variety in China. Its peel, known as Zangju peel (ZJP). The metabolic profile and bioactivity of ZJP have not been adequately studied, resulting in underutilization of ZJP and a serious waste ...

A State‐Gated Metallo‐DNAzyme Framework Programs Tumor Stress Vulnerability Through Metabolic Licensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A tumor‐state‐gated metallo‐DNAzyme framework integrates miR‐21/APE1‐responsive GLUT1 silencing with Ca/Cu‐partitioned metal–nucleic acid assembly and cystine loading. The framework first weakens glucose‐dependent metabolic buffering and then amplifies copper‐ and disulfide‐associated stress, converting tumor metabolic adaptation into programmable ...

Differential Metabolite Analysis of Furong Plum Harvested at Different Maturities during Low Temperature Storage [PDF]

open access: yesShipin Kexue
In order to reveal the differences in metabolites among Furong plum (Prunus salicina Lindl.) with different maturity periods and the changes in metabolites during low-temperature (4 ℃) storage, fruits picked at commercial maturity (F) or fresh-eating ...

Targeting LDHA Palmitoylation Sensitizes GBM to Chemoradiotherapy via Suppressing Palmitic Acid Induced Glycolytic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal GSCs preferentially uptake palmitic acid, thereby promoting ZDHHC12‐mediated LDHA palmitoylation. This modification enhances LDHA enzymatic activity, drives glycolytic reprogramming, and facilitates exosomal LDHA‐mediated TAM regulation.
