Bioenergetic Materials for Tissue Regeneration: Modulating Metabolism to Promote Cellular Anabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bioenergetic materials (BEMs) modulate cellular metabolism to promote tissue regeneration. Their principal mechanisms of action include metabolic substrate supplementation, metabolic enzyme modulation, organelle transfer, electrical current regulation, redox homeostasis modulation, and oxygen tension modulation.

Conjugated Polymer‐Microbe Interactions Trigger Regulatory Reprogramming for Enhanced Bioelectrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conjugated polymer‐supported bioelectrochemical systems are shown to enhance microbial electrosynthesis by triggering coordinated electrochemical, transcriptional, post‐transcriptional (sRNA), metabolic, and protein‐level responses. Integrated multi‐omics and electrochemical analyses reveal selective physiological remodeling associated with improved ...

Lactylation‐Mediated HER2 Stabilization Promotes Trastuzumab Resistance in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Warburg effect‐derived lactate drives HER2 lactylation and trastuzumab resistance. Mechanistically, AARS1‐mediated lactylation stabilizes HER2 by inhibiting USP11‐dependent degradation and concurrently promotes HER2‐EGFR interaction. Importantly, inhibiting HER2 lactylation resensitizes gastric cancer cells to trastuzumab.

Sarbecoviruses Suppress Innate Immunity by Recruiting PPM1A to Modulate STAT2 and ORF9b Phosphorylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sarbecovirus ORF9b recruits host phosphatase PPM1A to suppress innate immunity through dual mechanisms. PPM1A directly dephosphorylates ORF9b to sustain its activity and indirectly downregulates STAT2 phosphorylation to impair interferon signaling. Pharmacological inhibition of PPM1A restores antiviral responses and limits sarbecovirus replication ...

Omnidirectional Interaction Networks Modulating Phenotypic Plasticity in the Gut Microbiota Towards Ulcerative Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs a spouse‐pair cohort design and an idopNetwork model that integrates evolutionary game theory, predator‐prey dynamics, and developmental modularity theory to reconstruct maximally informative microbial interaction networks. This approach reveals how interspecies interactions drive the phenotypic plasticity of the gut microbiota in ...

Effects of Different Drying Methods on the Quality of Forest Ginseng Revealed Based on Metabolomics and Enzyme Activity

open access: yesFoods
Forest ginseng (FG) is a rare medicinal and culinary plant in China, and its drying quality is heavily dependent on the drying method. This study investigated the effects of traditional hot air drying (HAD) and the self-developed negative-pressure ...

Metabolic Signatures for Liver Cancer Diagnosis and Mechanistic Insights: A Large‐Scale, Multicenter Study

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A large‐scale multicenter serum metabolomics study (13 centers, n = 2,149) identified a 9‐metabolite + AFP diagnostic signature for liver cancer (AUC = 0.93). Among the signature, nicotinamide (NAM) was validated as an oncometabolite: NAM enhances NAD+ synthesis, activating SIRT1 to deacetylate and stabilize HIF1α, thereby driving glycolysis, MAPK ...

Metabolic Changes in Zebrafish Larvae Infected with Mycobacterium marinum: A Widely Targeted Metabolomic Analysis

open access: yesMetabolites
Objectives: To explore the metabolic changes in zebrafish larvae after infection with Mycobacterium marinum, this study adopted a widely targeted metabolomic approach to analyze the changes in the overall metabolic profiles of zebrafish larvae infected for 5 days. Methods: Data were collected by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
