Strigolactone signaling: Licensing antiviral RNA interference in rice

Rice grassy stunt virus (RGSV) suppresses strigolactone‐mediated antiviral RNAi through P3‐D14 interaction. Structure‐guided D14D102N editing disrupts P3 binding while maintaining SL signaling, sustaining antiviral defense and providing strong resistance without compromising plant growth or yield.

Detection and identification of wild yeasts in lager breweries

Wild yeasts were detected in 41 out of 101 brewery yeast samples investigated using six different selective principles. Malt extract, yeast extract, glucose, peptone (MYGP) agar supplemented with 195 ppm CuSO4 was found to be the most effective selective principle, detecting wild yeasts in 80% of the contaminated samples.
