Generalization of the Lindhard dielectric function to include fluctuation effects
The random-phase-approximation dielectric function for the homogeneous electron gas has been derived by Lindhard. Here, we generalize this work to include fluctuation effects, and we also study their influence on the Friedel oscillations.

A Fluctuation Equation of State for Prediction of High-Pressure Densities of Ionic Liquids
During this work, we demonstrate, for the first time, that the volumetric properties of pure ionic liquids could be truly predicted as a function of temperature from 219 K to 473 K and pressure up to 300 MPa.

ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Work fluctuation theorem for coloured noise driven open systems
We have studied work fluctuation behaviour in the presence of internal thermal noise as well as external coloured noise. The external coloured noise may have both Gaussian or non-Gaussian characteristics.

Extracting quantum work statistics and fluctuation theorems by single-qubit interferometry. [PDF]
We propose an experimental scheme to verify the quantum nonequilibrium fluctuation relations using current technology. Specifically, we show that the characteristic function of the work distribution for a nonequilibrium quench of a general quantum system

The paradigmatic sequence–structure–dynamics–function relation in proteins is currently well established in the scientific community; in particular, a large effort has been made to probe the first connection, indeed providing convincing evidence of its ...

ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

Large Deviations and Fluctuation Theorem for the Quantum Heat Current in the Spin-Boson Model [PDF]
International audienceWe study the heat current flowing between two baths consisting of harmonic oscillators interacting with a qubit through a spin-boson coupling.
