Depletion of neutrophils reduces writhing.
(A) C57BL/6 mice were treated with anti-Ly6G antibodies or isotype controls for 24 hours and tested in the acetic acid-induced writhing model (n = 5). Reduced numbers of neutrophils was confirmed in the blood (B) and the peritoneal cavity (C) after the ...

Erythrocyte ‘Feierzeit’ reaction: Novel filamentous and vesicular response to n‐butyl acetate
Abstract Human erythrocytes (red blood cells; RBCs) undergo spontaneous disassembly after several hours of exposure to n‐butyl acetate (nBA). Images of the morphological changes were captured in time‐lapse sequences using differential interference contrast (DIC) light microscopy.

Additive mixed meta‐analysis with spline meta‐regression for nonlinear ecological trends
Abstract Ecologists use meta‐analysis models to propagate uncertainty from statistical models of independent datasets into a higher‐level analysis. Meta‐analysis can be used to combine independent studies or as a two‐stage method for hierarchical modeling of data components from a large‐scale or long‐term study that are impractical to analyze in a ...

ABSTRACT Purpose To accelerate MRI further, rapid B0 field modulations can be applied during oversampled readout to capture additional physical information, as in Wave‐CAIPI/FRONSAC/local B0 coils modulation techniques. These methods, however, turn the Fourier readout into a non‐Fourier‐encoded dimension that cannot be reconstructed by FFT, posing ...
