Deglitching procedure for XAFS
A computer program for eliminating artifacts such as glitches and Bragg peaks of the polarized XAFS spectra is presented. It permits to easily locate and to eliminate from the EXAFS spectra the additional signals originated from the Bragg scattering by crystalline samples.

X-ray Absorption Fine Structure (XAFS) Studies of Oxide Glasses—A 45-Year Overview
X-ray Absorption Fine Structure (XAFS) spectroscopy has been widely used to characterize the short-range order of glassy materials since the theoretical basis was established 45 years ago.

Slow crossover in YbXCu4 intermediate valence compounds [PDF]
We compare the results of measurements of the magnetic susceptibility Chi(T), the linear coefficient of specific heat Gamma(T)=C(T)/T and 4f occupation number nf(T) for the intermediate valence compounds YbXCu4 (X = Ag, Cd, In, Mg, Tl, Zn) to the ...

A major goal of theoretical simulations of X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) is to provide calculations for the interpretation and analysis of experimental data in terms of geometrical and electronic information. The extended region or EXAFS (50-2000 eV above an absorption edge) contains geometric information about the pair distribution function ...

Solid state phase transitions characterized by esr and xas [PDF]
Measurements of the relaxation time, of electron systems to a disturbance, by two different spectroscopic methods are examined in detail, with the purpose to establish how the presence of fluctuations near a solid state phase transition are made evident

Operando XAFS Studies on Rh(CAAC)-Catalyzed Arene Hydrogenation
Rh K-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) spectroscopy was used to examine the Rh-catalyzed arene hydrogenation of diphenyl ether by a combination of stoichiometric reactions of [(CAACCy,Dipp)Rh(COD)Cl] (Rh–Cl) (CAACCy,Dipp = cyclic alkyl amino ...

Correlated local distortions of the TlO layers in Tl$_2$Ba$_2$CuO$_{y}$: An x-ray absorption study
We have used the XAFS (x-ray-absorption fine structure) technique to investigate the local structure about the Cu, Ba, and Tl atoms in orthorhombic Tl-2201 with a superconducting transition temperature T$_c$=60 K.
