Characterization of Filamentous Bacteriophage Lf from Xanthomonas Campestris pv. Campestris
A filamentous phage, phi Lf, which specifically infects Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris was isolated. The phage particle measured 1,000 (+/- 200) x 8 nm. It formed turbid plaques of about 1 mm in diameter. During multiplication, the progeny virions extruded into the medium without retarding host cell growth.

DsbB Is Required for the Pathogenesis Process of Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris
The DsbA/DsbB oxidation pathway is one of the two pathways that catalyze disulfide bond formation of proteins in the periplasm of gram-negative bacteria.

Functional characterization and proteomic analysis of lolA in Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris. [PDF]
The gram-negative Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris is the pathogenic bacterium that causes black rot disease in crucifers. The virulence determinants of this bacterium include extracellular enzymes, exopolysaccharides, and biofilm formation. Here, one transposon mutant of X. campestris pv.

The PAS domain-containing histidine kinase RpfS is a second sensor for the diffusible signal factor of Xanthomonas campestris [PDF]
Summary: A cell-cell signalling system mediated by the fatty acid signal DSF controls the virulence of Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (Xcc) to plants. The synthesis and recognition of the DSF signal depends upon different Rpf proteins.
