Pro‐Vitamin A Biofortified Cavendish Banana: Trait Stability in the Field
ABSTRACT Vitamin A deficiency (VAD), a major global health concern, has driven efforts to develop staple crops with enhanced pro‐vitamin A (pVA) content. Delivering meaningful nutritional benefits, however, requires technologies that maintain elevated carotenoid levels under field conditions. Previous proof‐of‐concept work demonstrated that pVA content

ABSTRACT Mango (Mangifera indica) is one of the most popular fruits cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. The availability of reference genomes helps to identify the genetic basis of important traits. Here, we report assembled high‐quality chromosome‐level genomes for the Australian mango cultivar ‘Kensington Pride’ and M ...

ABSTRACT Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) is a redox cofactor derived from prokaryotes that participates in various biological processes involving dehydrogenase enzymes. Previous field trials identified a PQQ‐producing endophyte, Burkholderia seminalis 869T2, which enhances banana growth and reduces Fusarium wilt incidence from 24.5% to 3.4%.

PHR1 mediates rapid high light responses and acclimation to high photosynthetic activity
SUMMARY Changing light intensity requires immediate metabolic adjustment which involves reprogramming of both plastidial and nuclear gene expression, but the signaling pathways behind such responses are not fully understood. Here we report that an increase in light intensity causes fluctuations of Pi levels in the chloroplasts of Arabidopsis thaliana ...

Abstract Matcha contains several bioactive compounds that contribute to the facilitation of thermogenesis. However, the effects of a single intake of matcha on brown adipose tissue (BAT) activity remain to be elucidated. This study aimed to evaluate the association between matcha intake and BAT activity.
