Ethanol production from fractionated eucalyptus wood [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Eucalyptus globulus wood (EGW) is a lignocellulosic material with high cellulose and hemicellulose content, suitable for the simultaneous production of hemicellulosic and cellulosic ethanol.

Biorefinery approach for the valorization of vine pruning residue [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Lignocellulosic biomass (namely vine pruning residue, VPR) conversion into biofuels is considered a promising alternative to replace fossil fuels. In this work, VPR was submitted to hydrothermal treatment under isothermal conditions (180 and 200oC for 10-

Valorisation of sawdust-based spent mushroom substrate for sustainable xylooligosaccharides production using low-cost crude xylanases from Aspergillus flavus KUB2

open access: yesMycology
Spent mushroom substrate (SMS), a lignocellulosic waste after mushroom production is generally discarded without proper management. There is increasing interest in the sustainable transformation of lignocellulosic waste into high-value products.

Determination of the Nucleotide Sequence of a Thermostable Xylanase Gene from Bacillus Coagulans ST-6 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
PBNXI is a recombinant plasmid containing vector plasmid pUC19 and a 2.6 kb fragment of Bacillus coagulans ST-6 genomic DNA which contains a xylanase gene. PBNX2 is another recombinant plasmid with the same insert DNA but in a pUC 18 vector.

Xylooligosaccharide production from cotton and sunflower stalks

open access: yes, 2020
In this study, the aim was enzymatic xylooligosaccharide production from cotton and sunflower stalks, two of main agricultural residues in Turkey. In first two parts of the study, alkali extracted xylan from both of the stalks was hydrolyzed by commercial xylanases Veron and Shearzyme.
