Yin Yang 1 controls cerebellar astrocyte maturation
AbstractDiverse subpopulations of astrocytes tile different brain regions to accommodate local requirements of neurons and associated neuronal circuits. Nevertheless, molecular mechanisms governing astrocyte diversity remain mostly unknown. We explored the role of a zinc finger transcription factor Yin Yang 1 (YY1) that is expressed in astrocytes.

Yin and yang regulation of stress granules by Caprin-1
Stress granules (SGs) are cytoplasmic biomolecular condensates containing proteins and RNAs in response to stress. Ras-GTPase–activating protein binding protein 1 (G3BP1) is a core SG protein. Caprin-1 and ubiquitin specific peptidase 10 (USP10) interact with G3BP1, facilitating and suppressing SG formation, respectively.

Yin-Yang: Programming Abstractions for Cross-Domain Multi-Acceleration [PDF]
FPGA accelerators offer performance and efficiency gains by narrowing the scope of acceleration to one algorithmic domain. However, real-life applications are often not limited to a single domain, which naturally makes Cross-Domain Multi-Acceleration a ...

Yin Yang 1 Is a Novel Regulator of Pulmonary Fibrosis [PDF]
Abstract Rationale The differentiation of fibroblasts into myofibroblasts is a cardinal feature of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The transcription factor Yin Yang 1 (YY1) plays a role in the proliferation and differentiation of diverse cell types, but its role in fibrotic lung diseases ...

Taiji variations: Yin and Yang in multiple dimensions [PDF]
This paper briefly describes the historical background and geometric construction of the Taiji diagram, commonly known as the Yin-Yang symbol. Some examples of two- and three-dimensional variations are given based on alternative construction methods ...
