Hypertension is an extremely common noncommunicable disease, affecting an estimated 1.3 billion adults (aged 30–79 years) worldwide, and its prevalence has doubled over the past 20 years [1]. Many patients fail to achieve guideline-recommended blood pressure targets. New technologies are currently being actively developed to achieve these goals.
